ICCR MoU Signing

On Tuesday 28. June His Excellency Shri Ashok Kumar Attri,
Indian Ambassador to Denmark and Rector Lauritz B. Holm-
Nielsen signed a Memorandum of Understanding between
the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Aarhus
University. The MoU facilitates a programme of ICCR chairs
at the Department of History and Area Studies in the coming
years. The department expects the first holder of the ICCR
chair at Aarhus University to arrive in September.

Accompanied by his wife, Usha Kiran Attri , the ambassador
first held discussions on academic co-operation with the Rector, International Director Kristian Thorn and Dr. Niels Brimnes
from the Department of History and Area Studies. Later the
Ambassador and his wife were shown the buildings and facilities of Aarhus University’s International Centre.
