Dr. Roy has written extensively on military history and warfare in South Asia and in a
comparative perspective from the early modern period to the present. He is author of
War, Culture and Society in Early Modern South Asia 1740-1849 (2011) and editor of
several volumes on warfare and politics in South Asia.
